The descent is the part your knees remember in the evening. Poles take load off your joints with every step, and on loose ground you have two extra points of contact if a foot slips.

The Bergkraft poles adjust across four segments from 52 to 110 cm. They fit your height, and you can set them slightly longer for the way down than for the climb. Collapsed, they go inside your pack instead of dangling off it.

Do you really need them?
If you regularly walk long descents or carry a load, you will feel the difference. For a short stroll on level ground, poles are honestly not necessary.
